A tree with a height of 6 meters; D.B.H. 8 centimeters. Bark gray-green, smooth. Leaves are opposite, variable serration; 3 centimeters wide by 6.5 centimeters long; apiculate tip. Fruit: samara, at approximately 60 degree angle; 4 centimeters long.
Pressed specimen
Professor Sun collected this in the Yemuxia valley along the Yemu River (a branch of the Taohe River) before rejoining the group in the afternoon of 9/19/05. Specimens and seeds all from one branch of one plant.
