West facing slope, desnly shaded by Pinus strobus in the morning.
Tree ca. 8" dbh, 18' tall, 15' spread. Bark smooth, green with white stripes. Young bark smooth, reddish. Flowers light green, pendulous. Bud scales bright red. Leaf scales pinkish. Leaves with yellow pubescence in veins, more pubescent below.
