Habitat: wild on the property of Mr. Nishimura, an Azalea nurseryman, on Rt. 241.

Description: Single stem tree 20 x 15 m. flowers beautiful pale pink 3-3.5 cm. occuring with bronze young leaves Petals broad oval overlapping. leaves green 14-16 cm. with some insect damage and leaf curl. Bark very rough. A very old tree said to be over 150 years.
