very rocky site Route 12.
Double trunk slightly pendulous tree ca 16 m tall. Bark rough dark reddish brown. flowers pale pink 3.5 to 4 cm in diameter with cupped overlapping petals. A very old specimen ca 100 years old on very rocky site on Route 12.
