Habitat: full sun on a 40 degree slope in dry gravelly site.

Description: A small, single stem tree 3.5 x 4 m. branching close to the ground. Fls pink 4.5-5 cm. with spreading petals occuring with deep bronze young leaves leaves slightly glossy green with little insect damage. Approx. 15 yrs. old. Bark, reddish brown smooth with prominent lenticels.
